lock, turn, roll, cut, proof, bake, eat (2023) is a solo oboe piece that again reveals my love for all things food. Inspired by croissants, this piece imagines how music processed through the steps of a croissant recipe would sound like ——what if it the croissant were made of notes instead of dough and butter?

lock, turn, roll, cut, proof, bake, eat was written for the 2024 Curtis Institute of Music oboe auditions.
